By choosing this option you have access to two types of variety information:

NVT provides Estimated Genetic Values (EGV's) for grain yield for commercial varieties. An EGV is a prediction of the yield (t/ha) of the variety in a specified environment.

In choosing this search option you have access to two types of variety yield information.

1. Estimates of genetic value (yield) of individual varieties (on a state or region basis) as obtained from a statistical analysis of long-term multi-environment trial (MET) data. These values represent the best available predictions for the specified region and are provided to facilitate reliable variety selection decisions.

2. Variety Means on an individual trial basis as obtained from a statistical analysis of the trial concerned (in isolation from all other trials). Variety selection decisions should not be based on these results as they do not represent the best predictions for that location.
